Parachute No Regrets @ Work

Parachute No Regrets @ Work

Young workers are taking internships, summer jobs and full time/part time positions all over the country to gain experience and money. Workers between 15-24 are at higher risk of getting hurt, sick or killed on the job than older workers. Both youth and their employers have rights and responsibilities for creating safe workplaces. We have created an interactive workplace safety activity, Job-Safe Jeopardy that works to equip youth with life-saving information for the workplace and beyond. Whether it's your first job or a job that you've done in the past, making sure that your workplace adheres to the rules and regulations in place in your province is important.

Fact: Between 2006 and 2011, 39 young Ontario workers died in work-related incidents, according to Workplace Safety and Insurance Board statistics. During the same period, more than 52,000 young workers received injuries resulting in lost time at work, according to the WSIB.
